Gueye, a native of Senegal in West
Africa, came to the United States
with a vision - a vision of cultural
warene between Africans and
African Americans.
The African American CoMCC­
lion - part one of that vision -
brought African an and artifat to
America. Now Gueye has expanded
his b iness and vision into pan two
by opening a full- ervice travel
agency, the Teranga Travel.
Mr. Oueye h designed a series
of reasonably priced quality tours to
Africa. "Travel represents the be t
way to further my dream of bringing
the brothers and si ters of the
di pora into clo er proximity with
the Motherland,'" said Mr. Gueye.
A highlight of the tour package to
Senegal includes a visit to Goree Is­
land, pain of departure for millions
of African lave taken by
Europeans. City tours of Abidjan
and Lome will feature folkloric and
cultural presentations.
Teranga travel invites African
Americans to take routes to their
