Electrifying Mojo Ridin'
the Airwaves .with a Flair
By DEBORAH CULP
ConwSPOnMnt
It's around 6:45 pm in the eve
ning 1be station you're listening to
bappcm to be \_VMXl?-92.3 FM.
You notice the pace of the music
lowed down some, even "mel
lowed-out," so to speak ..... Then at
seven sharp, you hear the faint
sounds of an airplane circling to
land.
There's a distinct dialogue going
on between a captain and his crew.
Or is it a pilot and a co-pilot? You
bear the landing gear touch the
around with the familiar thump,
knock, and a screech. ices at the
air control tower confirm the
·MottlCr-Ship· has landed.
ON COMES THE Electrifying
Mojo with a listening pleasure for
some and a mind tingler for others.
Mojo tells his captive audience
that it's time to it back and let the
Mother-Ship run its course with the
lid of himsel f (the pilot) and Micheal
Knight the co-pilot.
Among tbe eveniDB' tones and
nuances will be the ever popular for
mat 35, 35, 35. Broadcast's com
plete with 35 minutes of one groups
or anist, followed by another of the
IIDlC and ending with 35 additional
minu of music from a different
group or artist. Each group or uti t
different than the other.
As for the pilot, Mojo-who main
tains strict anonymity says there's I,lO
re I beginning because he' lways
been a OJ. and always will. Over
the last 15 years or so, he has eon
tributed to the careers of many artists
past and present. Co-pilot Knight
has extensive training in radio and
technical broadcast and was former
ly a Flint air personality at station
WDZ:&FM.
Their mission of course is to go
where no man has gone
before ... when it comes to pleasing
and holding their listening audience
or to keep them coming back for
more.
UNUSUAL? DIVERSE?
WELL we'll let you be the judge of
that, just continue to watch the sky
around 6:45 until 7:30 for any
trange circling or hovering tiom
that may be taking place. It' not
known yet how many cities have a
Mother-Ship or any other ·U.F.O.
based radio station, but the fans seem
to be happy the Electrifying-Mojo
has finally landed here after yeall of
going up and down the radio dial
preading his talents to the max.
