Medical and Dental Center ,
697 Weld St., Benton Harbor.
The center are a joint project
of Mercy Memorial Medic I
Center, MARCHA and South­
wes'em di<:al eUnice . ,'I� ..
The center provide family
medical services, such as
routine physicals, health educa­
tion and diagnostic laboratory
service . X-ray services are
available in the adjacent Mercy
Center. The Dental Center
provides dental services, includ­
ing check-up, fillings and
hygiene care. The centers offer
convenient .access to family­
centered healthcare for Benton
Harbor residents, according to
Velma Hendershott, executive
director of Migrant and Rural
Community Health As octatton.
The Dental Center staff in-.
clude Edward Liebenthal,
D.D.S.; Susan, Liebenthal,
D.D.S.; Dennis Rupple, D.D.S.;
and two dental hygienists. Keith
March, M.D., family prac­
titioner and current medtcal
director of the center ; Barbara
Boyd, M.D., interni t and
pediatrician; and Vinenda
Pandjaitan, M.D., family prac­
titioner will provide medical
care for the centers.

The centers occupy the
11,000 square-foot area which
formerly housed the emergency
room and c rdiovascular
laboratories at Mercy Center,
Benton Harbor.
The Medical Center has 12
examination rooms, a
laboratory, and a large reception
area which include a children's
section with a tot-sized table
and chair . The Dental Center
features a separate entrance and
reception area, a dential educa­
tion room, and the capactry for
six operatories.

The 125th Anniversary celebra­
tion of the City of Benton Harbor
continue on Sunday, June 23; at 5
p.m. at the First Congregational
Church, United Church of Christ,
Bellview at Broadway and Pipes­
tone, Benton Harbor.
Keynote speaker will be the Rev.
Jeremiah Wright, Jr., pastor of the
fastest growing United Church of
Christ congregation in the nation, the
Trinity VCC'in Chicago which grew
from 87 members to more than 5,000
in 18 years.

program of Christian education and
66 different ministries of training,
education, fellowship, and service
for youth through seniors. He is
known as a preacher, lecturer, and
instructor .

honorary Doctor of Divini_ty Degree
from Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Il­
linois .
