The program is broadcas ted

AM, Sunday mornings from 7
a.m. until 11 a.m ..
In that article I mentioned
Reverend Wilmore Allen, the
host of the program. But I did
not tell you that Reverend ,Allen
characterizes himself "a country
preacher" and that he' "tries to
reach everybody."
On the Sunday morning pro
gram, he sings, preaches, raps,
imitates a Vietnamese speaking
person and punctuates songs
wi th "sang woman," "pick that
guitar," "old boy," and, "I'm
talking to those who have
ploughed a mule, bathed in a
number three tin tub, used
oxagen soap and ate 'maters and
'raters. "
Reverend Allen is culture.
He is the personification of a
Black broadcasting style' that
mixes vaudeville with news,
commercials, and selling
products by the air waves. _.
