Benton Harbor Ci ty Commis ion
approved a map of the proposed
Ward and a proposed electoral
implementation plan that will be
u ed in the 1991 Election for
commissioners.
A Public Hearing wa held at
the Benton H rbor City Commi -

reapportionment of the Ci ty 's
Ward a mandated by an order of
Judge Richard En I n of the
Federal Di trier Court.

ton Harbor tating that the City's
ward were not equal.
The courts agreed with Kelly
orderin the city to undertake
reapportionment.
"Based upon the principle of
one person, one vote, the city is
immediately required to make an
ajustments in the ward lines to
provide for equal representation
ameung the wards," said Ci ty At
