Home Federal Savings i Black owned, Phillips said. �With our ability and the num­ ber of mi nori ties in De troi t, we ought to be worth a mini­ mum of S150 million." Forty three years ago the bank was founded by five Black men. One, Lowell W. Baker, is alive today, Phillips said.
