" arrow Margin"
For all it's typical good-guy-gets-bad-guy theme, "Narrow
Margin" is really a film about one man's obsession. Gene
Hackman. tarring in the role of Robert Caufield (a 1...0 Angeles
deputy district attomey),--is the man. Hi obse ion? Putting
heavyweight underworld boss Leo Watts behind bars. Why?
We don't kno ,and never find out. F ct is, it doesn't really
matter, because this film is no mystery. Leaving little to chance:
its filmmakers incorporated just the right mix of action, chase .
scene. murder, sh dy char cters and above all, top-notch
ctors, led by Academy Award-winner Gene Hackman, and
Anne Archer, ho received an Oscar nomination for her role as
the wife in "Fatal Attraction' ,--another movie about an
obse ion.
In" arro Margin", Archer stars as Carol Hunnicut, the editor
of a publishing company whose life is turned upside-don when
she ccidentally witnesses an underworld execution, and
become Hackman's best elwlte at convicting Watts, The action
heat up when Hackman, discovering Hunnicut's existece,
unknowingly leads hired guns right to her. As far as HUlcut
as concern' this incompetent move of Hackman's didn't
exactly help u, persuade her to go back to Los ngles to .u.fy
pinst Watts, nor did it solidify her confidence In his capabilines
of protecting her from the hit men. '
James B.Sikking,--best known for his role as Lt. Howard
Hunter on the critically acclaimed televi ion series "Hil Street
Blue .. ,--stands out in his role as Nelson, one of the hit .
