A recount of votes from the
Allgu t 7 primary election
revealed EJeanor Lampkin
received more votes than John
Patterson for tbe chance to run
�or HigbJand Park City Clerk
In November against incum­
bent Matt�e Carter.
The unofficial vote total
had previousl y identi fied
Carter and Patterson as win­
ners of the primary.
Carter was counted as
having 1029 votes with 208
absentee votes (AV's), Patter­
son had 538 votes with 303 .
AV's, and Lampkin bad 343
votes with 38 AV's.
On�dnesda�Augu�15, ���������������������
a check of the computer that
counts votes in the individual
precincts was found to have
been in error in precinct 26,
the absentee precinct.
The correct vote wa 1125
.for Carter wllJl304 AV's, 513
for Lampkin with 208 AV's,
and 273 for Patterson wi th 38
AV's.
As a result, the two choices
for city clerk on the
Novermber ballot will be in­
cumbent Mattie Carter and
challenger Eleanor Lampkin.
