Greyhound Bus terminal,

Manning said he didn't like
all the criticism that have been
made of the city employees. He
was referring to the complaints
Wysinger h d made about the
city inspectors and the Public
Safety Director Sam Watson.

icapped. '
On the video tape, there
railing in the bathroom and a
rlmp for the handicapped.
Manning also passed out a
paper from a code boo show­
ing that the bus terminal is in
compliance with the building
codes.
In response to Wysinger's
demands for the firing of Public
Safety Director Sam Watson,
Manning passed out a release
that said Watson bas been per­
forming an outstanding job of
protecting the citizens and busi­
nesses in the city, saying. Wat­
son was "out there fighting
crime" with the other officer,
no silting at home.
Commissioner Wy inger
said he will still stipe to what he
previously said about the bus
terminal, . inspectors and Wat­
son, Wysinger said � city in-
spectors "don't know diddly
I about the city", and the city's fire
department, who inspected the
old bus terminal and con­

Wysinger said Watson is still'
not doing enough to "curve the
crime" in the Oty of Bent n :

hearing was held on the
amended cemetery budget. The
commission voted for the
amendment. The City's.Finance
Director Michael Vance said
the original budget w, no ade­
quate to meet the operations of
the cemetery.
The original budget called
for reven ofS137,$X) nd ex­
penditure of S134,962. The
ame ded budget call for
revenues ofS181,136.75 and ex­
penditures of S160,941.85'.
Also the commission voted
to repeal an ordinance that will
allow borrowing from the
General Employees Pension
Fund by its member . The
bo rd may by regulation ar-
r nge for loans to members
from their contributions when
deemed necessary not to ex- _
ceed 15% of the total of the c­
cumulated contributions.
