December 8, 1989.
No, they're not coming to
march, demonstrate or protest.
They're no coming to partie
pate in some, grand, glittering,
gala social event.
Theses college educated
BIC¥: women are coming to
Washington for two day of
serious di cussions and
deliberations.
Their concerns have crisi
implications: to pro ect and ex
pand the economic gains and
the civil and political rights of
BI c America.
The unique, historic oc
casion is the Second Biennial
Blac Women's Political Action
Forum, co-sponsored by four
Sigma Gamma Rho, and Zeta
Phi Beta.
The Forum, a non-partisan,
two-day conference open to
men and women, will be held on
December 8- 10 at the
Washington Hilton Hotel in
W hington, D.C.
More than 1,200 women at
tended the first Black Women's
Political Action Forum in At-
1anta in the fall of 1987. The
Forum marked the first time the
nation's four largest Black
sororities had united for a m jor
national project.
The National presidents of
the four sororities emphasize
the critical importance and ur

Blacks in this country.
