Delore Videau enjoys
tkiDg Deroit Osteop thic
H pital (DO ) because of the
"family atmosphere." And for a
few years, the hospital truly was
a family. That's because 20
years ago Vid u's mother,
ina Andres, was an employee
in the DOH laundry. She liked
the hospital so much she helped.
her daughter get a job there.
Videau, the DOH Employee
of the Month for July, remem
bers those days fondly when she
and her mother lived around the
corner from the hospital and
would walk to work together
every moming.
Videau started at OOH as an
nurse's aid and was transf; red
to the Central Sterile Supply
area. In her job m teri Is
aide, she cl ans p . ent supplies
that will be taken to patient
rooins and dispenses medical
equipment. She also is respon-
ible for sterilizing her mother
retired 10 years go after 17
year of ervice, Videau still
likes DOH becaus "all the
people are so nice."
Videau grew up in
Hamtramc , but her family
moved to HighHtnd Park where
she graduated from high chool.
She now lives on the west side of
Detroit with her husband, Lee,
and her mother.
Videau's joy is her yard an'd
garden. "When it's warm out
and sunny, I'm outside all day. I
love flower ,so I spend a lot of
time weeding my garden. I trim
the grass and hedges. I've also
painted my garage and house
thi summer," she says.

Month program recognizes
