Re istration and exhibits
open at 3 p.m. The prograra
begins at 4 p.m., when keynote
speaker Dr. Thomas Blackwell,
of Ypsilanti, delivers a message
on "Positive Parenting." Then
the gathering breaks up into
small groups for three rounds of
3O-minute mini-sessions which
begin t 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00. The
closing session· from 6:30 to 7
p.m.

campaign is a comprehensive
national program designed to
ow the dangers of high blood
cholesterol and how to reduce
it
Unlike many cholesterol
programs, the Campaign
Against Cholesterol uses
screening to identify people

offers courses on cholesterol
reduction.
DOH, through its Detroit
Heart Institute (DHI) in High­
land Park, will ffer both
cholesterol screenings and
courses as part of the campaign.
Cholesterol testing takes
pi ce every Monday, Wednes­
day and Friday at DOH -be­
tween 8 a.ID. and 2 p.m, Par­
ticipants can use the free valet
parking service at Detroit 05-=
teopathic Hospital, 12523 Third

represented a bon fide dispute
and a "conflict of interest" be­
tween city council and the City
Attorney.

torney, also opposed council
receiving one, suggesting, sar­
castically, "We've 'got a lot of
