The University of California (Berkeley) Wellness Letter cites two concerns: possible ad- op? verse effects of electric blankets by pregnant women, and poten­ tial problems for people living near large overhead power lines. The UC Letter says studies- of overhead power lines are"n considered definitive." But one Colorado investigation determined that expectant women who slep under electric blankets or on electrically heated waterbeds expecienced ., more miscarriages. Why?
