Highland Park woman receives. I a ard at anniversary Wanda McPherson first began working at Detroit Os teopathic Hospital as a dietary aide on May 5, 1969. After 20 years in the Food and Nutrition Services Department she can easily say that it "feels like fami ly here." Her years of dedication are one of the reasons she was named the January Employee of the Month at DOH, 12523 Third Avenue, Highland Park. When asked about why she won the award she says, "I don't really know. I don't feel I'm bet ter than anyone else. We all work together as a team so everyone else deserves credit, too." She says she enjoys the togetherness of the department and the hospital because that makes her job easier. Her job involves delivering patient meal trays and working in the kitchen. McPherson says that she likes getting to know the patients and helping out when she can. McPherson lives in Highland Park with her husband and two children. She enjoys rollerskat ing, reading and church ac tivities. , I WANDA cPHERSO (center) is recognized as the January Emplo of the o teopathlc Hospital by Mary Jaskowski, director 'of Food nd utrition e Allen, vice president/administr tor oft hospital. 7 Ad It Educ tion I offering ED exam The General Education Development (GED) Exam will again be offered by the Adult Education Division of the High land Park School District on March 9-10 and April 20-21.
