If your tim could be divided
on a percentage basis, th t

following manner: 1) 15% of
. your time should be spent cor­
recting the mistakes of the past,
especially if those mistakes may
live to haunt you in the future; 2)
25% of your time should be in­
vested in activities designed to.

3) 60% of your time must be for
living each day. .
The key point here is that you
can correct some past mistakes
and prepare for the future but
you can only live one day at a
time. Thus, you should neither
dwelJ on the past nor become
overly preoccupied with the fu­
ture. You get the most out of life
by getting the most out of each
day.
You can help yourself get th
most out of each day by com­
pleting the following exercise:
a) Make a list of all your weekly
. activities; b) For each activity
ask yourself "Does this activity
actually need to be done?"; c) If
the activity needs to be done,

The art of ttacking life's
problems. Most of uS do not
know how to constructively con­
front a person or a problem.
Usually, we wait or put off
confrontation until it is too late
or until we get so angry or
frustrated that the only thing we
are capable of is destructive
confrontation.
The key to successful con­
frontation is to confront a per­
son or altfck a problem as soon
as it emerges. Remember,
whatever the problem or C9n­
flict the longer it lasts the more
difficult it becomes to solve. The
key point is that you will get
much more out of life if you
learn that problems must be at­
lacked and people causing you
problems but be confronted.
First level personal confronta­
tion must always be tactful, even
apologetic. But if tact and
politeness do not work, you
mu 1 be prepared to engage in a
more stern, uncompromising
form of confrontation.
Just remember that the over­
whelming majority of pe pie
who cause you problems, dis­
respect your feelings or put
roadblocks in your path to uc- _
cess do so unintentionally. Thus,
these people will change t cir
ways under the pressure of tact­
fu confrontation.
However, those who inten­
tionally block your path to a
happier, more success-filled life
must be �nfronted in an un­
compromising manner.

eat it can have a tremendous im­

"variety" and "moderation." We

lion dollar lawsuit against
Burger King Corporation in
U.S. District Court in Wah­
siDgton, charging the company
with discrimination and anti­
trust vioialio
The seven-count complaint,

operates a nationwide chain of
fast-food restaurants - with
participation in "an unlawful
and 4ela>erate pattern of dis­
crimiD ion" which has resulted
