The 4th Annual, uperinten­
dents Scholarship anquet in
the Benton Harbor School Dis­
trict will be Friday, March 4 and
will honor Superintendent
James Rutter.
Rutter has served the school
district for 19 years as a teacher,
an elementary princi�al, a
junior high asst. principal, and
the high school principal .'
Rutter has been successful in
creating a controlled climate for
schools, improving test scores,
securing college scholarships
for students, and creating and
developing programs that meet
student, staff d. community
needs.
Rutter is married to Diane
Rutter who is the founder and
chairperson for this years �vent..
The GPmmittee has been in ex­
isttnce for four years and have
awarded seven (7) $1,000
, scholarships to high school
seniors. '
A dinner will be held at the
Benton Harbor Holiday Inn to
raise money for college scholar­
ships for Benton Harbor High
School seniors. The dinner is
$20 a plate and will begin at 6:�
p.m.

tino, Sherry Collins and James
Turner.
