He founded the McCoy's Temple Chourch of God In Christ No.2 in 1948 and under his leadership there have been eight men ordained as elders, seven as pastors and four as su­ perintendents in the Church of god In Christ denomination. That hospital will be one of 19 VA medical facilities to receive a van from the nonprofit Dis­ abled American Veterans (DAY) on Tuesday, ovember 17. The donation was made pos­ SIDle through a cooperative ef­ fort of the DAV's national or­ ganization and Michigan DA V Chapter No.2. The van will be driven by volunteers from local DA V Chapters and DA V Auxiliary Units. These volunteers will b participating in a national DA V National Transportation et- work. Overseeing the progam at the VA Medical facility in Grand Rapids will be DA V Hospital Service Coordinator Dere M. flack. The number of DA V­ donated vans across the country will increase to 24 by the end of the year. The one-million-mem- ber organization hopes to fullz, meet the transportation needs of veterans at all fo the VA's 172 medical centers before the end of 1988, donating vans wherever necessary.
