A media panel, consisting
of one representatives each
from WHFB-AM and PM,
SJM/WIRX, The Michigan
Citizen and The Herald Pal
ladium, will question the can
didates.
Each candidate will be al
lowed a five minute opening
statement and will be allowed
two minutes to respond to a
qustion with the other can
didate aIlo ed one minute to
comment on his opponent's
ans ere They will be allowed
two minutes for concluding
statements at the end of the
deb teo

been mailed to Chamber mem
bers, but anyone wishing to at
tend may call the Chamber of

• Increase patrols In our neighborhoods, parks, and business areas.
• More officers on duty during peak crime hours.

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN
• Replace and Install new storm sewers and drain system where needed.
• Pave the streets that need it .
• Install water meters on outside of dwellings for accurate meter readings.
• Repair or replace broken fire hydrants.
• Strong enforcement of housing codes and ordinances.
• Low Interest loans for homeowners improvement programs.
• Grant program for low-Income citizens home improvement.
• Strong demolition program for houses that can't be rehabilitated .
• Initiate a homestead program to put as many residents into home ownership as pos
sible.

• Strong retension program for existing businesses already In the city.
• Job creation for residents
• Encourage and assist small business and entrepreneurs
• Strong efforts to link job-training services with development and job-generating ac-
tivities. .
• Target Industry development program that Joins the public sector effort and resources
with private Investment to create jobs for city residents.
