(NIS) A marked increase in
atrocities in South Africa-oc­
cupied amibia is expected to
be the topic of an upcoming
session of the U oited ations
Security Council.
The Council was petitioned
to hear that case by repre­
senatives of the frontline
states, nations bordering
South Africa, and the outh
West Africa Peoples Organiza­
tion ( WAPO).
WAPO, which is fighting
to free Namibia from the
apartheid colonial occupation,
has documented repression,
assaults and intimidation
against civilians.
