1, a team of representatives
from out-of-state colleges
evaluated the curricula, fiscal
management, and. physical
plant among other areas.
The team also interviewed
Highland Park students, staff
members, and alumni
It's recommendation for ac­
aeditation still must be ap­
proved by the North Central
board of directors, which has
jurisdiction over colleges and
universities in the north
central region;
Accreditation certifies that
a school meets standards.

select two high school stu­
dents for an mM summer job­
training program.
"I thought: "Why not get
kids from our community,
from Highland Park, the op­
portunities to apply fOT the
Summer Hire Program," said

Two positions are open for
low-income, 11th and 12th
grade Michigan students to
learn corporate-business re­
lated duties and earn pay for
working 40 hour weeks at an
mM office between June and
