ongoing court battle for the
township's authority to fire cGan­
non, said defense attorney Seymour .

The seven-member Royal o«
Board of Trustees voted unanimously
in Feb. to fire McGannon, according
to a township source requesting
anonymitiy.
Hundley said the board wants to
consolidate duties of the superinten­
dent and internal auditor.
In March, Royal Oaks requested
that the court allow it to remove
McGannon, Hundley said.
McGannon, hose appointment is
currently effective, was appointed
five to six years ago by 6th Circuit
Court Judge Hilda Gage to assist the
township which has had financial dif­
ficulty, the source said.
