aid form."
"Each college ha a different
deadline for student who want
to receive primary consideration
for financial aid. The appli
cation date for primary con-
ideration at Lake MIchigan
College is June 1. If you mis
the deadline, you will till be
con idered for financial aid,
but only if funds remain."
According to Coleman, the
financial aid officer u s the
need analysi form to determine
the amount each family should
be able to contribute to their
child' education. The amount
of financial aid a tudent reo
ceives i determined by sub
tracting the expected family
contributi n from the ctual
cost of attending the college.
'When you complete a need
analysis form, don't hesitate to
explain any special circum
stances you feel might affect
the amount of financial aid you
should receive," continued Cole
man. "There is a place for that
information on the form."
Coleman al reminds parents
to use whole numbers when
reporting income and to report
income amounts for the entire
year. 'Don't use monthly
income," she said. ' That s a
common rni take. ost im
portantly, remember to allow
enough time to meet de dlines."

applying for financial aid at

man at 927·3571, Ext. 213.
