MUSKEGO uskegon's
big picnic which has been wel­
coming spring to the uskegon
area since 1979 is taking shape
for 1987, including many
favorite features a well as
innovations.
A primary change involve
the day it If. Traditionally a
Sunday event, this year's cele­
bration is scheduled for Satur­
day, May 16. Although held on .
the campus of Muskegon Com­
munity College, MA YFEST is a
community undertaking with
major input from area rvice
organizations.
In 1987 theme is " AY­
FEST Salutes the Sesquicenten­
nial of Mu egon." The more
than 100 exhibits and activities
are expected to attract 10,000
participants. There i no charge
for any of the events, but a
nominal fee can purchase break­
fast or lunch. Picnic tables will
abo be provided for families
who wish to bring their own
picruc lunches.
