Growth Alliance ha announced
their fir major project to
attract indu ry to Southwestern
Michigan. Thi effort will be
initiated at the International
Exposition of Food Processors
to be held in Chic 0 in
January.
According to James urphy,
CGA Chair, the decision
to target the food proce sing
industry and this particular
show was an easy one. ''The
State ha targeted food pro­
cessing as a natural growth
opportunity for ichigan, While

The 1982 Census of Agri-
culture showed over A3
acres of vegetable and nearly
52,000 acre of fruit and berri
gro n in the three counti .
