"This is serious business. This must be serious business." _he added. The former comedian said the way to bring attention to the problem' hit the nation' economy here it hurjs the most in the holiday shopping season. Gregory, a member of the SCLC board, called for Americans to stop buying pro­ ductions from South Africa and to stop supporting American companies doing business in South Africa. "We have to say in the African-American community, 'Let's not buy any more gold or. diamonds and those that have them take them off' ," the former comedian said during the recent meeting.
