or other profe ional wor,
when you seriously begin to job
hunt - you'll need resume.
Your re me is a one page
typed mmary of your recent
and related job experience. You

should be on your resume.
Let the reader know if you have
held any leadership position in
an organization.

monies, like welfare. Do not
mention how many children
you have. Do not mention
your marital status. Do not
mention the way you got your
high h I diploma (meaning
whether or not its the usual

their title and the company
name. You should also m e
sure that you call the job by its
proper name. call the com­
pany and find out the job
title.
The first paragraph of the
letter should state the position
for which you are applying and
the fact that you are enclosing
your resume.
The cond paragraph should
highlight aspects of your re­
sume telling and showing why
you re particularly qualified
for the job. For example
my work with the sic and
ut-in members of my church
and my experience caring for
small children m e me parti­
cularly qualified for the posit­
ion of practical nurse in the
pediatrics ward.
The last par raph of the
letter should thank the person
for their time and give a day­
time phone number where you
can be re ched.
