JULY 13 -19,1986 THE CITIZEN ves ing in he Caribbean By J e ath Among the people respond ing to my recent column on the need for Blac to form ealth building or investment club ere group and individual from t 0 Caribbean nations - Barbado d the Baham . Their letter raised the pro- t of e in inve ments from American Blae for ven- in the Caribbean resort The are dr mil- of fun and sun seeking American each year. But it is truly amazin th t even in Black nations non-Bla tend to o n and control mo t of the major busine Thu the pro ect of Carib bean Bl cks forming busi e ventures of their own and e in inve tment from American Bl c h n appealing rin to it. B th in a finan ial and r i prid I hav H/ want to leave home" ficant" Hollar for inve ing, we do not mean than e h individual in a ealth-building club would have to put up a lot of money. Clubs are being formed because there i financial rength and economic power in numbers. For example, 40 club with few as 25 members each inve ing $200 a person totals $200,000. That's a sizable investment sum given the power of leverage. 200,000 could easily be excellent start-up money for an inve ment project in the Caribbean or a down payment on a 2 million existing profit-making re rt hotel. This concept of pooling small amount of money in order to make larger, potentially more profitable inve tments ha been u d effectively by other dis- dvant ed p ople and can be ppli d t almo t any pr e t. For ex mple currently we kn of a tentially- profit- ble r di ati n up f r sale in Riehm nd Virginia. If nly 100 Bl c c uld put up 200 e h, they could get th t P ten- tial gold mine t day. However you mu t remem ber there i a limit to what you can a c mplish al nee Send for the p et on how to form wealth-building club today. And if I you an t further inf rmati n on inve ring in the Caribb an pr jects currently under c n irati n particip t in in th pur ha of the Rich m nd r di tati n or any f the other numerou inve tment opp rtunitie hi h c m t m ttenti n, nd y ur name ddre and tamp to J me P.O.
