Hydron and Edw rd didn't h ve any childr n of their own Showing of the Film "The Vanishing Family" but Hydrone helped raised three of her nieces. She also helped them through college and is very proud of them. One is a teacher, one a registered nur and the third is a librarian at Wayne State University in Detroit. Hydrone is still helping kids. Sh pre ntly has her seven-year­ old niece living with her. Hydrone is very active in her church Beulah Baptist. She ha been pre' dent of he Usher B d for 12 "years and has been cretary of missionary group in her church. fter her husband's death Hydrone traveled a lot. She has been to the H ly Land and eight other countrie . She has been a volunteer at the Department of Social S rvice since 1979. She aid e g t invol ed in volunteer w rk b - cau she needed t d me­ thing to eep her mind busy and he nted to be able to help people. Hydrone has been h lping p ple for ' m time n w. She has volunteered both a driver and as a r pre n­ tative payee. She is a pleasant, gentle iling lady. Luther Dease John Young has been in the field of Education for 25 years, and V of those years have been spent as principal of Covert High School in Covert, Michigan. He was the State Education Chairman for the NAACP for six years, is a member of the Michigan State University Black Alumni Association (his alma mater) and was recently appointed to the State Advisory Board for Vocational Education.
