nation because they can serve
a very valuable purpose.
The immediate purpo of a
wealth-building club is to intro
duce ucce -oriented people to
one another.
Secondly, uch people are
then able to u the club to
accomplish a variety of financial
goals. The chief goal should
be to eventually get to the
point of sponsoring money
making events: from a Frid y
night party to a Sunday morn
ing financial minar.
If one is interesting in start
ing a wealth-building club, I
would suggest the following
steps:
I-Take the responsibility of
identifying at least two and
not more than five other
individuals who would be both
interested in starting uch a club
and prepared to work to m e
it successful.
2- 0 later than the second
or third meeting decide upon
the type of event you would
like to sponsor.
3- Gather information:
ranging from the cost of en
gaging in cert in types of

money-making activities to any
laws or city ordinances which
must be obeyed.
4- Set - in writing - club
rules and regulation. Include
statements on membership due ,
voting rights, type of money
making ctivitie in which the
club plan to engage and how
all profits are to be distributed.
Once your wealth-building
club i organized there i
wide variety of money-m ing
opportunitie open to you. One
club I know of did nothing
more than sell home-m de din
ners every weekend. The club
identified a great t highly traveled
location and simply p ed out
flyers in the surrounding neigh
borhood. But mo t important-
1y they did well financially.
However, the above case is
the exception. ost money
making activities will need a lot
more publicity in order to be
uccessful. Remember: pro-
motions or advertising is the key
to getting a fledgling money
making idea known to the
public. It used to be id th t

path to your door. But that s
not true. The orld mu t

accur te to say: get yourself
good product and publicize
the hell out of it.
Your "product tt could be a
financial seminar. In fact
such minars are among the
first recommendation I make
to clubs looking for their fir t
money-producing project.
Such min rs must be well
publicized. In fact, if you
can't get good publicity it would
be better not to try until you
can. In ddition, such seminars
mu t be held in nice comfor
table places. Lo al real estate
agent, bank loan officers or
even city official can be invited
to di u s local economic oppor
tunities. All those attending
would be harged a mall fee
