the State of Michigan will be
getting under way soon for
area youth 18 to 21 years of

ner. "The ichigan Youth
Corps will provide approximate­
ly 350 job for the three coun­
ties, with about 180 of tho
jobs dministered through the
PIC," Steiner explained. The
balance will be administered by
the Michigan Department of

low income requirement for the
jobs through ichi an Youth
Corps, but th state-funded
program has fewer slots Steiner
concluded. It has provided
over 60 000 job over the p st
three summers in ichigan,
according to the Governor's
office.
The ichigan Youth orps
program is administered by the
Private Inudstry Council in co­
ordination with .E.S.C., and
appli tions are available at
.E.S.C. offices in Benton Har­
bor, Dowagiac Hartford and
South Haven.

people have built bridges, work­
ed in parks, and taken a lot of
pride in their projects - espec­
ially where a lasting monument
has been created".

its FY'86 Targeted Fuel Assis­
t nee (TF A) Program on Fri­
day, April 11 1986. The
TF A Program is a four month
county-wide fuel bill as lstance
program designed to provide
a one-time monetary benefit of
not more than 200 to the

Poverty Guidelines with twelve
percent of their annual hou -
hold income being spent in

The BACAA's client services

Department of Labor, Bureau
of Community Services for the

75,520. To-date, the BACAA
has obligated 61 850, leaving a
balance of 13,670 which must
be exhausted by April I 11.

income hou holds throughout
Berrien County which have not
applied for the benefit to do
