ton Community College.
On September 30th the ASB
voted to ban Coca-Col from
the campus of this Southern
Cal iforni junior college because
of Coca-Cola Company's refu al
to ce se bu ine operations in
South Africa. Coke will be
replaced in machin and over
the counter sale by Ameri­
cola, a cola beverage manu­
factured by a local Bl ck-owned
company.
Andrew nley, President of
ArneriCola beverage Company,
said, "I appreciate the confi­
dence th t Compton Commun­
ity College has placed in me.
It is vital th t Bl ck people
get together and help each other
progre s. y relationship with
the college will alw ys be one
of recriprocity." AmeriCol
is already planning promotional
events to take place at the
college later this year.
Compton, California is the
largest city ith a 81 ck
