evening Rev. Charles Poole,
Pastor of Bethe da Baptist
Church. Rev. Pool has
num rous hon rs nd extra
ordinary achievements to hi

Degree in Theology with the
American Theological Seminary.
Rev. Poole discu ed the fact
that it is shameful that there
is still a need for a community

in 19 5. He remarked that it
is doubly hameful that CAAP
agencies have to fight for a place
on the agenda of our govern

live not only for ourselves
today but for thers tomorrow."

He also stirred the udien e
when he discussed at length the
evils pre ent in our s iety to
day. The meanings. dangers
and solution of ationalisrn

But the purpo of this

the long hours over many years
that she has devoted to com

particulary the AACP.
For over 30 years Mrs.
William ha been active in the
Twin Citie Branch AACP.
Her effort on behalf of the
recent - and most succe ful

are typical of her dedication
over the years.
First Vice-president for the
p t five years, she has been
chairperson for various youth
activities, a member of the
Hapiness Bloom Club.
This year's AACP banquet
wa by no means the first
that Mrs. Williams has worked
for. It wa Mrs. illiams who
was instrumental in obtaining
the Russell Bruce trophy for
Progressive Baptist Church for
nine years in a row - 1974-
1983.
Jut as raising a f mily isn't
the only story to relate when it
comes to Lurlean William
the AACP isn't either.
She is a member of the
