Today, some 10 million Ethiopians face starvation in the worst famine in memory. Various agencies
are working cooperatively with each other to allevi t the suffering. Food supplies
provid dare g tting through. They are being distribut d.

have failed. And now, 1.8 million tons of food are needed to sustain the
Ethiopian popul tion.
