been alot of conflicting ignals
recently as t hether Inland
Steel will be m ving to Berrien
ounty and when they will
announce their final decision.
In a story appearing on
WCSY new in South Haven
State Senator Harry Gast was
quoted aying Inland would
announce by the end of January
where it would be locating.
Inland is contemplating site
in Benton Township, Lake
Township and near ew Buffalo
for a cold rolled steel mini­
mill.
Inland is also looking at
Fort Wayne and East Chicago,
Indiana. The plant would cost
anywhere from SIlO million to
S300 million to build, and
would be state of the art -

Harbor Public Library, feels it is
important that the library
receive the one mill it is asking
for from Benton Township resi­
dents. "Our primary needs are
to increase the book budget ...
which has not been keeping
up with inflation", Kirby said.
"We would also like to keep
the bookmobile on the road
