County prison. Lewis and fel
low Klansman Gregory Short,
in an effort to intimidate and
harass Bobby Person, burned a
cro on May 230, 1983 in the
road in front of Person's home.
The harassment did not end
there. On October 12, 1983,
Jerry Lewis called a Special
Forces meeting to plan more
actions. L wis, Greg ry Short,
Joan Short and other Klans
men drove to Person's hou ,
arm d with a rifle, pistol, and
other weapon. The Klans
men called Per on out of his
house, cursed at him pointed
guns at him and threatened
violence. Per on's wife and
children were home at the time.
Since then Klan men hav van

The suit also charges the

Klansmen did "patrol" schools,
driving by campu es in cars,
and as a result, a number of
Black students remained at
