Dear RD.,
Per onality traits not only
come in degrees, but as a total
package, each individual is uni
que from all others. Poeple
really don't have 'bad' per onal
itie , they just act in ways which
lead other to believe they have
nothing to trade in a value for
value relationship. If you feel
that your personality has been
holding you back from finding
I
and holding on to meaningful
friendships and relationship,
then it up to you to m e
change in your life. You will
have to take the time and the
trouble to honestly analyze what
you are doing or perhap in your
case what you're not doing, then
correct it. The next step to take
is to be more aggre ive when
meeting people.
Dear L.R.,
When living with parents even
as an adult, there are al ys
house rules. If you feel that
they are too bar h or overbear
ing then you need to talk with
your parents. Let them kno
how you are feeling. Try and
reach a compromi , this way
both you and your parents
wll be happy with the ne et
of rules. At the ame time you
should be questioning your If
a to what your behavior i like.
Are you acting like a child,
therefore leaving your parents
no choice but to treat you as
such. aking money doe n't
make you a man.
Always,
Erik Washington
