Every election day e seem to be put in the position of having to vote for the Ie or of t 0 evils. e kI10w that we need to get . rid of Ronald R gan but e also kno that we need to get some re pect from the Democr t party. f just ems th t at orne point we need to collectively write out our own agenda and set our own prioritie so that OUr every action ill be geared to doin what is best for us WE see it .. n we can layout "u first" program for all the world to e then our leaders will be taken out of the awkward po ition of always having to poligize to some party or group or individual becau we are voting against something that they don't like. When everybody understands that we are going to vote for our agenda, our program, our interest first and foremost and that only those who are pre pared to upport us in meeting our needs can expect our sup- port, while tho who oppo tho 4 sues and programs that re beneficial to u can expect to be treated in kind. It is basically a matter of utilitizing tho things that we po ss. We don't have the tremendous amounts of money to give to political campaign but we do have votes. Vote that can be u d in a variety of way - to support, to punish, to send a me e. They can be cast in f vor of one party in a primary but switched to the other in a general election. They can u ually make that crucial difference in a referen dum, millage proposal or bond issue. Once we incorporate the po ibilities into our think ing and devote a little time to knowing when to apply then we might very well be better pr - pared to deal with a question like, what do we do in ovem ber. .. That night after Rev. J ac n lost hi bid for the Democrat nomination, Minister Farr disappeared. Think about it, and then think about ich el J ckson and ho the papers were 0 busy talking bout him that they forgot to print the weather re port. Even forgot to print the nam of the p per on day. They were criticizing him for making too much money and charging too much for concert tickets and predicting that people wouldn't buy them. They did everything they could to kill the concert tour but peopl ept right on buying tickets and driving hundred of miles we saw vera} peopl from thi area at the concert in Pontiac to him.
