County Board of Commi ioners
approved the placing on the

last for five years 1985-1989.
Commis ioner ancy Cler,
head of the 911 Task Force,
which has studied the 911 y tern
for 4 years, is urging the voter
to adopt the millage increase.
The 911 system would create a
county-wide single emergency
number for fire, police and
ambulance.
The board also approved the
creation of a Parks and Recreation
Director. The new po ition will
place orne of the burden of
maintaining county parks off the
shoulders of the current Planning,
Park and Public Works Director.
