The conference will be held in Boston, .
July 31 through August 3, 1984. About
250 county, state and federal public
a . ance employment programs person­
nel are expected to attend.
The purpo of the conference are
to promote information sharing among
ate and local agencies which- operate
AFDC ork programs and to encourage
coordination with private employers and
other job training and placement pro­
grams.
cCree and Yarbrough will speak
on uccessful development, administra­
tion, and pervision of Community
ork Experience Program sites. In the
Community Wor . Experience Program,
public . tance recipients gain ex­
perience and develop job skills while
working in a governmental or non-profit
agency. There' no co to the agency
and the ichigan Department of Social
Service provides worker's compensation
coverage. Currently, approximately 600
individuals are assigned to 152 govern­
mental and non-profit ency work sties
in Berrien County.
