The formal opening of the Confer­
ence Will take p ce on Sunday evening,

This will be preceded earlier in the day
by the annual luncheon of the Urban
League Guild and a forum on the
Bl ck family.
Dr. Andre Billin ey, the former

and one of the nation's le ding experts on
the Blac family, will serve modera­
tor for the latter.
The candidat of the two major
parti will be invited to ddre the
morning and afternoon plenary ODS
on Monday, July 30. After each of the
plenary se '0 , a rie of smaller
forums will be held which will provide
participants with an opportunity to
engage in a dialogue with the presents­
tors.
Among the are to be covered in
the onday forums are Crime and the
Blac Community, and a Black Perspec­
tive- on Educational Reform. Another
\ forum will concentrate on succe ful
technique that have been u d in get­
ting out the young Black vote.
The speaker on Tuesday morning
July 31, plenary will be Vernon Jordan,
former president of the UL.
A special forum, "The ew Breed
of ayers," will be pre ented on Tues­
day evening at 8 p.m. Dr. Charles V.
Hamilton, a nationally known political
scientist and the author of several books
