Sponsors are encouraged to keep 'in touch with the student's teachers, dis­ cuss future plans, assist with hobbies and acqualrtt the youngster With the • cultural and social activitie in the com­ rnunity. The Keep a Child in School program is a volunteer operation, gover - ed by a board of. directors and a part­ time administrator and organizations and private foundations. · The program began in.
