NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Sealed proposals are invited and will be reveived
by the City of Benton Harbor for colledion and dis­
posal of solid waste for said City. Proposals must be
made on the Proposal Forms and in accordance with
th Instructions to Bidders furnished by the Office
of City Clerk. Proposal Forms will be available in
said office on July 22, 1980. The Proposals will in­
clud sale of one (I) Ford LT5-S000 Diesel/Automa­
tic 25 Cubic Yard Refuse P eker by the City.
The Office of the City CI rk will furnish copies
of th Proposal Forms with copy of Rubbish Collect­
ion Contr ct to prospective bidders upon payment
of $10.00 fee.
Ther wiJ I be " pre-bid conference on 5 August,
1980, at 4:00 p.m, at the Public Works D partment
Off ces - 2nd nd North Str ts, Benton Harbor. All
int ted bidders are urged to attend.
Proposals must b delivered to, nd be on file
with the Offic of the City cr rk on or before 10:00
a.m., 14 August, 1980, at ich time the proposals
will publ icly opened and read in said office.
Proposal Forms must be led and clearly mark-
ed "Proposal, for Solid Waste Collection and Disposal
nd V hicl Purchase."
A perform nee bond or letter of committment
regarding ability to secure a performance bond from
a responsible surety company in ccordance with the
terms in the form of contract must accompany the
Proposal.
Th City shall notify the successful bidder within
forty-fiv (45) days after the date of opening of
proposals.
T City reserves th right to accept or reject any
or all Proposals, to waive irregularities and/or infor­
mation in any Proposal, and to award in any manner,
consistent with law, d med in th best interest of
the City.
