Th Berrien County CET A_ Offic is soliciting for bids to deliver aCETA
Adult Work Experience Program serving the conomically disadvant ged
and unemployed residents of Berrien County. Funding of this Program
under CETA is limited to education and communi y-based, ncn-profit
ag ncies that hay effectiv Iy provided employm nt and training ctivities
or services.
The Work Experi nee Program is a short-t rm or part-tim wor assign­
ment with an employing agency oth r th n with a private-for-profit
ag ncy. The Program is d signed to enhanc mployability of individu Is
through the dey lopm nt of good work habits and basic work skills.
The Program is limited to p rsons who n d assistanc in b oming
accustomed to basic work skills in ord r to be abl to compete sucess­
fully in the labor market. The Program is for persons ho haV1 ith r
never worked or who have not b n working for an extended period
of time.
Approximat Iy $100,000 is available fo.r the operation of this Program
for fiscal year 1980, October 1, 1979 through S pt mb r 30,1980.
This budget limitation is subject to change pending th approval of the
inal allocation of Berrien County from the US. Department of Labor.
Contact the Berrien County CETA Office, 927-2476, for an intent to
bid form. This form must be submitted to the Berrien County CETA
Office no later than August 17, 1979 at 5:00 p. m.
