the boy or his family. And
there are no dues or charge
to the Y-Uncle volunteer.
The program i funded
about 40 percent by the

and about 60 percent by
contribution .
Y -Uncle volunteer are
matched very clo ly with
their ne ewph. Racial
and religuous ties special
skills and interest, and a
comparable ocio-econorni­
cal bac ground are taken
into con' dera tion in the
matching pro e ,
There are a f plan­
ned activities once a month
for the adult volunteers
and the boy ch as an-
nual picnics, canoeing
parties, etc, But for the
majority of the time it is
up to the individual Uncle
and ephew . as to what
activitie they enjoy to­
gether. It i up to them
when to get tog ther for
visit also be it once a
wee or for a couple wee s

enjoy swimming or track
ports
This program eems to
be a worthwhile one for
this area. Every boy should,
gro up with a fully round­
ed character. trong male
influence will help him to
do this, very fatherless
boy can benefit greatly
