local opportunities ar incre sing.
CETA's new Auto Mechanics Program· will be tauqht at
Lake Michigan College and is designed to provide extensive
training so that students will be ready to pass the required
auto mechanics certification tests. Job development and
on-the-job training in local car dealerships are all part of the
program. Students will be paid allowances for time spent
in the calssroom and at the training sites. Applicants with
a mechanical aptitude are preferred.
Participants must be CETA eligible for Title II D: econom­
ically disadvantaged AND unemployed at the time of applica­
tion AND have been unemployed for 15 of the last 20 eeks
immediately prior to application OR 'a member of a family
receiving public assistance.
