GLOW PARTY SET
5:15-8:15 PM, DEC. 28 (SAT.)
Celebrate Chanukah with
Congregation Shaarey Zedek at a
Chanukah Havdalah Glow Party.
Everyone is welcome. A quick
dinner, lighting Havdalah candles,
welcoming a new week and
lighting the menorah. We’ll have
glow sticks, Chanukah songs,
dreidels and more. All ages are
welcome. Cost: $18 per family,

MUSIC AT THE MAIN

Kitty Donohoe will perform at the
West Bloomfield Main Library in
the conference room. The concert
is free. Michigan Emmy award-
winning songwriter Donohoe
was born into a large, creative
family outside of Detroit and has

been making up songs for as
long as she can remember —
folky, bluesy, Irishy, American,
Canadianish.

Year’s Eve with Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Entertainment,
activities and a light dinner will

NEW YEAR’S EVE
8 PM, DEC. 31 (TUES.)
The Royal Park Hotel, 600 E.
University, Rochester, will host a
stylish New Year’s Eve Bash with
a party to ring in 2025. Highlights:
light-up dance floor, DJ services,
photo booth, cash bar, late-night
snacks, a balloon drop at midnight
and live stream of the ball drop
on the big screen. VIP Admission:
8 pm; cost per person is $159 +
tax and eventbrite fees: includes
early access with exclusive entry
to the Conservatory, appetizers,
tray-passed hors d’oeuvres and
a private cash bar from 8-10 pm,
two complimentary cocktails and

316 S. Main, Ann Arbor. Fifty of
the area’s up-and-coming and
veteran comics come together to
tell the first jokes they’ve written
for the new year, kicking off the
2025 comedy scene in the most
righteous way possible. $20.
