Royal Oak Chanukah
Village Walk and
Menorah Lighting
Royal Oak Chabad Jewish
Center’s annual menorah lighting
and brand-new Chanukah
Village experience take place in
Downtown Royal Oak (Center St.
and 4th by Eagle Plaza) on Dec. 29
from 4-6 p.m.
There will be fun for all ages:
Ice menorah, donut decorating
bar, hot cocoa, latkes, donuts,
a Chanukah train ride and
the “Grand Gelt Drop” where
chocolate coins are dropped from
the top of a fire truck ladder.
Chanukah Village and the
menorah lighting ceremony are
open to all members and religions
of the Royal Oak community.
From 4 to 5 p.m., members of
the Royal Oak community can
visit Eagle Plaza and receive a map
of the Chanukah Village. The map
will lead participants on a stroll
throughout the downtown area to
different businesses with various
activities and giveaways.
RSVP appreciated. There is
no charge for this event. This
celebration is possible thanks to
