HARVEY MARK 
HOWITT, 79, passed 
away peacefully in 
Farmington Hills on 
Friday, Nov. 15, 2024. 
Born May 30, 1945, 
in East Grand Rapids, Harvey 
was a devoted husband, father, 
grandfather, brother and friend. 
Harvey lived a life filled with 
joy, generosity and meaningful 
connections, always embracing 
“good times” with those he loved.
A distinguished senior partner 
at a prominent law firm, whose 
enduring legacy continues to 
thrive today, Harvey was admired 
for his sharp mind, unwavering 
loyalty and generous spirit. He 
cherished his lifelong friendships, 
finding joy in camaraderie and 
shared experiences.
Harvey had a passion for life’s 
simple and exciting pleasures. 
He loved spending time at the 
casino, playing cards and driving 

his many Corvettes. Known for 
his offbeat sense of humor and 
quick wit, he brought smiles and 
laughter to those around him.
Harvey will be remembered as a 
kind, generous and loyal man who 
lived life to the fullest. His legacy 
of warmth, humor and love will 
live on in the hearts of those who 
knew and cherished him.
The family would like to 
express their deepest gratitude to 
Harvey’s amazing caregiver, Nana, 
for his unwavering dedication and 
compassion.
Harvey is survived by his 
wife of 57 years, Diane; brother, 
Dennis; son, Joe; daughter, 
Sherry; and son-in-law, Gabe; his 
grandchildren, Talia and Jay, who 
brought him immense pride and 
joy. 
He was predeceased by his 
brother, Gary; and parents, 
Alexander and Lena Howitt. 
Donations may be made in 
Harvey’s honor to the Parkinson’s 
Foundation or the Michael J. 
Fox Foundation to support their 
important work. A graveside 
funeral service was held at Adat 
Shalom Memorial Park in Livonia.

WALTER LITTMAN, 94, of Oak 
Park, died Nov. 15, 2024. 
He is survived by his son and 
daughter-in-law, Marc and Shelley 
Littman of Oak Park; daughter 
and son-in-law, Lisa and Jeffrey 
Attard of Woodhaven; sisters, 
Sylvia Schultz, Marian Littman; 
grandchildren, Benjamin Littman, 
Sean and Ilana Littman, Elliot 
Littman, Samantha Attard, Caitlin 
Attard; great-grandchildren,
