 Cult of Love, making its Broadway debut, is about a 
turbulent family Christmas. When the four adult Dahl 
family children return to their childhood home for the 
holidays with their partners, past conflicts resurface and 
new issues ensue. Will the love the family has for each 
other be enough to get past their conflicts? The show is 
in previews and opens Dec. 12. Starring Molly Bernard,

Death Becomes Her, a musical based on Robert 
Zemeckis’ 1992 dark comedy film about eternal youth, 
stars Megan Hilty, Jennifer Simard, Christopher Sieber 
and Michelle Williams. Music direction is by Ben 
Cohen and orchestrations by Doug Besterman. Madeline 
Ashton is a beautiful actress, and Helen Sharp is an 
author who lives in her shadow. They have always been 
friends until Madeline steals Helen’s fiance. As Helen 
plots revenge, their world is suddenly turned upside 
down by Viola Van Horn, a mysterious woman with 

a magic potion. Madeline and Helen take a sip of that 
potion and begin a new era of life, death and eternal 
youth — but the grudge will last an eternity. At the

 Elf, starring Grey Henson and Sean Astin, is based 
on the popular 2003 holiday film of the same name. 
The music is written by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad

Martin. An orphan climbs into Santa’s toy sack on 
Christmas Eve and lives with elves in the North Pole. 
When he discovers he is human and not an elf, he
