These are some shows with a Jewish connection: All In: Comedy About Love is a series of comedic stories about love, dating, heartbreak and marriage performed by a rotating roster of comedians. Richard Kind, Chloe Fineman, Fred Armisen, Hank Azaria, Jimmy Fallon and Renee Elise Goldberry are some of the funny people performing. Written by Simon Rich and set design by David Korins, one of the producers is SNL ’s Lorne Michaels. The show begins Dec. 11 and runs through Feb. 15. A Wonderful World — The Louis Armstrong Musical, about the life of legendary jazz musician Louis Armstrong, stars James Monroe Iglehart, Dionne Figgins, Darlesia Cearcy, Jennie Harney-Fleming and Kim Exum. It tells the story of Armstrong’s incredible musical career from the perspective of his four wives, who each had a unique impact on his life. It mentions the Karnofsky family, who raised him in New Orleans when his mother fell into hard times. Armstrong wore a Star of David throughout his life. Many of the musician’s beloved iconic songs are performed, includ- ing “When You’re Smiling” and If you’re in NYC this winter, check out these productions with Jewish connections.
